The RGN Freedom! Cup, an ongoing online league in North America, has made it to the playoffs stage, with most of the projected favourites making it out of groups. The RGN Freedom! Cup, a $5,000 online league in North America that is a joint venture between RGN and Youtube network Freedom.tm, has seen its group stages conclude and the double-elimination, best-of-three playoffs begin. In general, most of the higher profile North American teams (defined as taking part in the ESL ESEA Pro League or CEVO-P) managed to advance to the Freedom! Cup playoffs. However, a few notable exceptions did occur such as 3sUP bombing out in Group B, Method forfeiting a tiebreaker match in Group C due to time constraints, and Team Coast failing to advance from Group D.
The first game of the upper bracket actually took place last night, and saw Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan's Conquest take down Enemy 2-0. The following teams are still in the running in the RGN Freedom! Cup playoffs:
